  5. Brave Rowland

Long ago there lived a graceful queen. She had three courageous sons and one delightful daughter. One luminous evening the four children were playing with their blazing golden ball. It was Brave Rowland the youngest sons turn to throw. When he got the ball he throwed it so high it soared through the air over the church widdowshins. Lady Ellen wen to fetch the glistening ball shining so hard you could see it from a mile away.
The brothers waited for many hours but their sister did not return. The princes got worried and told their mother. Their mother said one of you will need to go to the chief warlock. He lives in the forest in a small den. The oldest brother said he would go. After countless days the oldest brother did still not return. Then the second biggest son asked the queen. The son set off following in the footsteps of his brother. Even he did not return.

Alas Brave Roland could not wait any longer. He pleadingly asked the queen to let him go and search for Lady Ellen. The queen sleepily closed her eyes but grudgingly said yes. Just before he went on his white horse, which was as white as snow. She got out a sharp sword in a silver casing with a ruby red jewel encrusted on the handle.

Then he set of on his audacious investigation. Into the forest he went, tightly gripping his sword anxiously. The forest was very peaceful, serene and tranquil forest was also surrounded by towering trees and rushing waterfalls.

Hidden in one of the waterfalls was a small hut. Brave Rowland rode into the waterfall quickly. He knocked on the fragile door. Knock knock knock. An elderly man opened the dusty door.
He said, “I have been expecting you, you must be here to ask me where your sister is. “
Brave Rowland asked, ”I am how do you know where she is? “
The man said, ” I know lots of things even why the earth is round.”
Then Brave Rowland said, “ Then where is Lady Ellen?”
The man said, “ She is in elf land captured by the elf king to defeat him you will need lots of training “

Then the old man opened the door to his den and started to train him just like he had trained his brothers. Once Brave Rowland had finished his training the old man told him there are two things you must do in elf land. One is something you must do and the other is something you must not. The thing you must do is anyone who you speak to before saving Lady Ellen must have his or her head chopped of. The thing you must not do is not eat or drink any water however thirsty or hungry you might be or you will never see your castle again.

  7. Brave Roland

Long ago there were three sons and one daughter born to a queen. One day they were out playing with there're golden bowl. They really liked playing the game. Suddenly the youngest son brave Roland threw the bowl over the castle. Their daughter ( Lady Ellen ) went to fetch it. For a while she did not come ,so the eldest prince went to the chief Warlock to ask what has happened to their sister. When he got there he asked and the Warlock replied your sister has gone around the castle 'whideshins' which means (opposite side of the sun) the warlock sent him to save her but did not come back. The second son set to find his sister and brother.

Once again the Queen waited with her youngest son for the princes to return but they did not. Brave Roland begged the Queen to go. Finaly the Queen gave permission and then went somewhere. In a few minutes she came with a sword. Dear this is your father's sword which never struck in vain. He set of to the chiefs cottage tall trees towered him as he went. Then he reached a cottage in the middle of the forest.
Once but only once again we come to you. Please tell me how to save my sister and
brothers. Warlock taught like he had taught his brothers and finally said my dear boy their is one thing you should and one you shouldn't. If anyone talks to you in elf land
just chop their heads of and don't eat any food in elf land or you will never see your home again.
