    Mrs Messa, you said Leif Ericson was a famous viking when you put the Leif Ericson blog, on Google it says his job was a life as an explorer, how can that be?

      It's because he's a famous explorer who discovered North America and Vinland.

      Well Ashwyn, I think Vikings are an explorer as well. All of them I think are explorers

    Ashwyn, I am going to give you the dictionary definitions of 'explorer' and 'viking'.

    Dictionary definition of Viking:

    noun /ˈvīkiNG/ 
    Vikings, plural
    1. Any of the Scandinavian seafaring pirates and traders who raided and settled in many parts of north western Europe in the 8th–11th centuries

    adjective /ˈvīkiNG/ 
    2. Of or relating to the Vikings or the period in which they lived


    Dictionary definition of Explorer:

    noun /ikˈsplôrər/ 
    explorers, plural
    1. A person who explores an unfamiliar area; an adventurer
     - a polar explorer

    In your opinion (and thinking about the information), can you be both a Viking and an explorer?
