I have been so impressed with your recent blog entries Hyde Park! It's absolutely wonderful to see how much effort you are making!
This week's blog entry is called 'Excuses, excuses...!'.
I would like you to think in a creative way about why you might not have done something.
You could write about why you were late for school, why you forgot your PE kit, or even why you couldn't write your blog entry!
For example, 'I didn't do my homework because an elephant strolled through my house and sucked the piece of paper I was working on up its trunk!'
However, I know you can be even more inventive than that! How tall a tale (a 'tall tale' is a fib!) can you tell?
I look forward to reading your detailed, well planned and carefully written blog entries by Wednesday 11th December!

I didn't bring my book in because it was ripped to pieces by my black cat because he was really angry.He did it in the night and when I came down all I could see was the railway children 1 page at a time all scattered on the floor.
ReplyDeleteI forgot my P.E kit because my mum thought it was a rubbish bag.
I couldn't do my blog homework because all the pylons had fallen over and there was no electricity.That was because of a hurricane.
I didn't learn anything at school because I was asleep the whole time.
( I did actually learn lots of things )
Thank you Jack, I believe you...! What could have been in the PE bag to make your mum think it was a rubbish bag? How horrible!

DeleteI didn’t write my blog entry when it was due, because none of the sockets worked, so the computer shutdown. The sockets did not work because there had been a thunderstorm and lighting had struck the wire that connected the pylon to my house. My house was the only one effected by this. The reason only my house was effected was because I lived close to a pylon that only connected to my detached house.
ReplyDeleteWe called out the electrician, but on his way to our house the pylon that was connected to our house fell on his car while he was parking up outside our house and he ended up in hospital. He is still in hospital with a huge bump on his head and several cracked ribs plus a broken leg.
We tried to contact another electrician, but they were all paying our original electrician a visit in the hospital. I tried to use the school computer, but unfortunately they were all stolen that very night my computer had shut down.
So I am really sorry that I have not written my blog and because my computer shut down I have no idea what the blog is meant to be about otherwise I would have written it on paper … honest.
Also I would of asked my teacher about the blog, but she was away visiting her husband in hospital because he had an accident with a pylon!
What an unfortunate series of coincidences! I think I feel rather sorry for the electrician! I wonder who stole all the computers... Perhaps that is another story itself!
ReplyDeleteYes there were a lot of mishaps in the excuse. However the electrician got a lot of sympathy from everyone which meant no access to a computer for my blog! I feel sorry for myself because I tried very hard to gain access to a computer...honest!

DeleteI once did not bring my guided reading book and reading diary to school because i was in a hurry to school and i was not paying attention to what i had in my school bag .Once i forgot my school bag because i went to a club in the morning before school.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't fill in the Christmas slip letter because a Japanese Spider Crab came into my house! It walked in front of me and I was so scared! Its was bigger than 3 King-Sized beds stacked on top of each other. Suddenly, the spider walked to the door, then jumped, after that he came back inside. AHHHHHH! An Alpaca came in my house and grew 3x bigger!

The damage in my house was very bad, and I didn't know what to do.

I couldn't bring my Guided Reading book because I brought it to the Library and when I was reading I spotted a great book, so I accidentally left my book on the chair. When I got home it was at least 7:00pm and then I realised I left my book there. But I was too late, the library closes at 7:00pm..
I could not do my blog entry because a cyber ghost took over my computer. Then the next day, I couldn't pay for my lunch because I was running away from an ostrich which had escaped from the zoo, and my wallet fell down the drain. I was absent from school because I went on a holiday to the Moon, it took 29 hrs.

ReplyDeleteI was absent from school today, because a windy dangerous hurricane appeared from nowhere! It grabbed and sucked me in like a giant magnet attracting everything in the entire world! I didn't know what was occurring? But, it did feel absolutely peculiar.
ReplyDeleteTwo hours later, I opened my eyes and noticed that I was in outer space. Everything looked very strange and hollow. Unexpectedly, I heard a creepy voice whispering in my ear.
It called out in an eerie voice, " Welcome to the hall of mirages where you might see three dimensional visions (3D). "
Impulsively, when I saw a frightening mirage of a deadly wolf, it scared me and then I realised that I was falling from the sky. I felt like a little skydiver trying to use his parachute to land safely. Hearing the sounds of the planes fly, hurt my ears and then I was clearly in distress. After that, I landed dangerously on a brick wall.
When I woke up, I was in the hospital. The heart monitor told me that my pulse was extremely low. Then the matron gave me a blood test and a dose of medicine. I felt much better after that. After this serious injury, I got fifty-two stitches on both legs.
I could not bring my wellies for outdoor learning because a witch came over night and turned my wellies into frogs.
ReplyDeleteOne very hot sunny Sunday I went to play cricket at Ricmond cc.Then I started playing, but suddenly a world war started on the cricket field.On the field they were shooting,throwing bombs and letting cannon balls out of the cannon ball machine .So then me and my dad ran away but we ended in a ghosts house trap, luckly we found the secret passage way so we escaped.We quickly got our car before the car got dameged by the world war, for a while my dad could not drive as there were bombs and shooting around the car, we both were fainted and we got to realise were we are, it was a cinema hall. We were watching The Pirates of Carribean. All of a sudden the wierd creatures started coming out of the cinema screen, and there were huge chaos in the theatre. i was very scared if i will fall down and people will walk or run over me. I was sweatting, and suddenly opened my eyes and was dreaming about all this.
One day after I got ready for school.I sat on the sofa and fell asleep.During that sleep I had a dream that a man had hypnotized me and made me not to go to school.He offered me things that people have never seen or used. He told me to play with people that I have never met with.
ReplyDeleteI could not come to school on time because when I was getting ready for school in my bedroom, a bright light shone from the ceiling and teleported me to a new world called the Pokemon League. I was whisked off to an old scientist's house, called Proffessor Oak. The place was enchanting. Bottles of coloured liquid in test tubes lay all around us. The Proffessor said I could choose one Pokemon to keep for myself and to live in my world. I chose Picachu. He was a cute, yellow, fluffy mouse who had the property of charging any electrical appliance just by touching it. I spent the whole day exploring the magical Pokemon League and met many of Picachu's friends along the way. They were extremely friendly to me. It then was then time for me and picachu to go back to my world.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't write my blog entry because the computer wasn't working but when I wrote it on a piece of paper a monkey swooped in and grabbed it,I jumped off my chair and chased after it[ even though I wasn't aloud ]. It felt like I had been searching for days, but just as I was about to give up something caught my eye ... and there it was. My mum saw me I saw her but the paper was just about to fall in a pond so I went for it. Oh yes, I leaped into the pond and before anybody could stop me ----- SPLASSSSSHHHHHH! ! ! ' NOOOO ! ! ! ' my mum cried. There was a moment of silence then laughter as I slumped very embarrassed across the pavement covered it water with a wet paper in my hand. My mum raced to me ' All for that ! ? ' she said disappointedly. I couldn't read the paper or even remember what it said. ] :
ReplyDeleteDon't say that I trained the monkey to to grab my blog sheet so I could run around the streets, jump in the pond and have a reason to not have my blog homework ... it wasn't on purpose .
DeleteI didn't bring my homework because I had amnesia and malaria. My mum brought a cure and I got better and a dinosouar came and ate my homework .It took a whole day to do it so when to school and got full ditention and got suspended.
