I think about the video is that the snowman was moving to different places. When he was in the shops , he brought something to the other snowman and when the hirl was woke up she saw that one of the snowmen brought a scarf and hat from the shops
ReplyDeleteA girl made some snowmen and when it was at the night he slid through the snow hewent on top of mountians, rivers and countryside . His last journey was to the shops and brought a scarf and hat for the other snowman and in the morning the girl looked at the window and saw that the snowmen wore a scarf and hat and smiled.
Why do you think she smiled?
DeleteThe hardest thing for the snowman was when he was sad traveling the city.
DeleteI think, if you look at it, the advert is quite sad I guess. The boy and girl make some snowmen (One with hair, arms and their face, The other one with their scarf, face and arms) but their mother tells them to get inside. In the morning the girl wakes up and looks out of her window to see that one of the snowmen were gone. The snowman that was still there looked quite shocked as well, and sad even.
ReplyDeleteThe missing snowman went on a journey, to find the perfect gift for the other snowman (To be honest, I think they are in Love) and on the way he sees so many different things that he is shocked at. e.g: Sheep's, Birds, Traffic, Teenagers playing with snowballs etc.
The next morning when the girl wakes up she sees both snowmen in their spots. But the one who always stayed in their spot was now wearing a red hat, red gloves and a red scarf. They were both very happy even though the travelling snowman was dirty from the adventure. The girl smiled and it looked like the snowmen did too.
The new John Lewis Christmas TV advert that celebrates the extra mile we all go to at Christmas to find the perfect gift :).
I agree - I think it is about going the extra mile for someone you like.

ReplyDeleteThe advert was about a snowman on a journey discovering the entire world! On a freezing day at Winter, two juvenile little kids were outside making snowmen.( One was a boy, one was a girl). They decorated it by adding big buttons; sharp coned carrots; short curved sticks and dark green fur for the hair.
The next day, the small girl looked out from her window and noticed that her snowman disappeared! She only saw the boy's snowman looking in grief and misery. Then the girl sighed melancholy.
Meanwhile, her snowman was on a long voyage. It went to a tall mountain and gazed at the twilight; travelled to crowded busy cities; sitting near lakes and starring at snowball fights.
Eventually the next day, the girl's snowman gave the other snowman a present! Also the little girl was satisfied to see her snowman once again!

ReplyDeleteI think the boy snowman learnt that times can be hard but its all worth it in the end because he had what he wanted ... for the girl snowman to be happy.

The next morning when the girl opens the curtain she finds the snowman gone. And she saw the snow woman looking sad because the snowman was gone.
ReplyDeleteFirst the snowman travels on a small road,down the hill, past the sheep,through the forest,through a windy storm,when he gets to a river a bird landed on the snowmans hand. When the bird took off, the snowman gets an idea to jump on to a rock in the midal of the river so then he could jump again to the other side of the river.
Then the snowman climbed up a steep mountain then he sees the town filled with lights, then in the town, he was trying to cross the road, when he got to the other side he hid behind a bin weting for the children to go so he could go to the shops , when the children where gone he went in and bought a red scarf with white poco dots,a red hat and red gloves. when he got back home the next morning, the girl opened the curtains and she sees the snowman and the snow woman smiling.

ReplyDeleteA girl and a boy made two snowmans. They made a girl snowman and a boy snowman. The boy snowman went on a long journey around the city. He was sad,intresded, happy and angry. The boy snowman thought the girl snowman was sad about that he wasn't with her on christmas, sohe bought her a present. When he returned home he gave the present to her. She was so happy to get a scalve, gloves and a hat in her favourite colour. At the end both snowmans were happy.

DeleteThe story began with two joyful children, wearing coats; a hat; gloves and earmuffs that were warm, comfortable and soft. They made two snow people male and female, which the children decided to dress up. Unfortunately, the children only dressed the snowman, because they only had enough spare clothing for one of them. They dressed the snowman in a pale grey and jet black scarf which was made of lambs wool.
ReplyDeleteThe snowman felt sad for the snow woman, because she had no clothing to keep her warm. She would be freezing. He made a decision to find the snow woman some clothing. He went on a hard, depressing, and solid journey.
The next morning on a bright, sunny, but frosty day the snowman starts his long journey of discovery. He walks along an icy, straight, open road towards a fence that overlooks sheep that are racing in a field. Then, he goes through a dark, murky and shadowy forest with towering trees. Following this, he finds himself engulfed by a blustering, tempestuous and boisterous snowstorm. Afterwards, he finds a rippled, curvy, and undulating stream, which seems to have a grubby colour. Next, he climbs to the point of a pure white, rocky, unstable mountain. Later, he walks on a metal bridge; just on top of a motorway.
After all that hassle, he goes to the side of a busy, brisk and a hectic motorway. Then, he finds himself in the middle of an angry snowball fight. He doesn’t want to be included in any of this, so he hides behind a dark bin. Eventually, he finds a huge, lit-up shop, which is what he was eyeing the whole of the journey.
We then return to where the story began and see the snow woman wrapped up in winter clothing which includes ruby red gloves, a white polka dotted scarf and a French beret hat that compliments her green grassed hair.

ReplyDeleteWhen the girl who built the snowmen when the girl who built the snowmen looked out the window the next morning the girl snow man was looking a bit unhappy because the boy snowman wasn't there . Instead he was getting a present for the girl snowman . Though it was a tough time he didn't give up , he was taking a risk but doing it for a friend .
At the end the snowmen got together again , the boy snowman gave the girl snowman a polka-dot scarf , a pretty hat and a pair of warm gloves . The girl who built the snowmen looked out the window again , this time she saw that the snowmen had gotten back together , the girl snowman had a present and they were both smiling . What a happy ending !
The qualities the snowman possesses are thoughtful and compassionate by thinking of others, generous in his numerous gifts and determination to see the journey to the end whatever the weather. He is full of confidence in this journey.

I can tell you worked really hard on it! Keep all of that brilliant new vocabulary in mind for our narrative writing after Christmas, when we start to explore different worlds!

ReplyDeleteWhen the journey started it was bitterly cold but it became dawn and the sun started to rise.The snow man looked lonely,there was a hilly mountain countryside.The snowman looked shocked at the field full of sheep,he had to get over the obstacle which was the scary sheep.Then he looked as if he was in a forest then he came to the end of the forest and there was a stormy blizzard.He looked worried when he was on the river side,the reason he looked worried is because he didn't know he could get across the river.Suddenly a Robin flew over and tweeted to the snowman, which made the snowman get over the river.The river was cold and icy but he made it over.The snowman was brave when he climbed the steep mountain and when he reached the top there was an amazing view.Finally the snowman reached the town through his hard time and then everyone threw snowballs at him. Eventually he was successful.

ReplyDeleteOne cold, frosty morning Mr Snowman had an idea that would really surprise Mrs Snowman, and make her so happy. It was going to be hard to achieve but because he loved her so much he wanted do something special for her. He set out on a long winding road, he got tired quickly. He came a river. Somehow he had to cross. He made friends with a family of frogs. He told them his plan. They were eager to help him. They agreed to work together to carry him across the river. When Mr Snowman reached the other side, there was a huge snowy mountain to climb. Once he was over the mountain, he reached a city with bright Christmas lights shining. He found the shop he was travelling to. He asked a kind gentlemen dressed in a smart suit to go inside and purchase something and have it gift wrapped. The gentleman came outside and gave I to Mr Snowman and wished him well. Mr Snowman made his long journey back to home. When he arrived he was exhausted. He gave the present to Mrs Snowman. She opened it with great excitement. When she looked at what it was, she was so happy to find that Mr Snowman had bought her what she had been asking for for months, a red hat, scarf and gloves set. Red was her favourite colour. He had also got her a tea cup made out of ice. The couple settled down to sleep for the night.
The snowman decides to go on an adventure to find the snow women a hat, gloves and scarf. The journey takes him to all sorts of exciting places that he has never seen before.

He is then faced with a climb up a steep snowy mountain. When he got to the top he took in the wonderful view.
Then he found himself on the side of a very,very hectic motorway with a lot of noisy cars going past.
Next he comes across some people having a snow fight. He was very weary of what they were doing. I know that because his facial expression changed. He hid behind the bins and watched them from there.
Finally, he reaches his final destination, the shopping area which is where I think he got the hat,scarf and gloves from.
The story then takes us back to his home, where he is reunited with the snow women, she is dressed in the hat,scarf and gloves, it was given to her as a Christmas present. This story tells us that this snowman would do anything or go anywhere (which he did) for the snow women.
