One of my favourite books is called 'Tom's Midnight Garden' by Philippa Pearce. Set in the 1950s, Tom, the main character is sent to stay with his uncle and aunt when his brother has measles. He absolutely doesn't want to go.
ReplyDeleteHowever, once he gets there some mysterious things start to happen... One night, the old grandfather clock in the hallway strikes thirteen, and as he investigates he finds a magical doorway...

One of my favourite books (Out of like 1000 or more:D) Would be My Sister Jody by Jacqueline Wilson. It is about 2 sisters called Pearl and Jody, Pearl is younger and Jody is older. They absolutely love each other, but sometimes Jody needs a break. This is the type of book with two characters that are the opposite of each other but they like each other. Anyway, soon they have to go to a boarding school because their Mum and Dad are going to work there. When they get there Pearl and Jody become friends with a boy called Harley or something like that, and Pearl also meets other friends for example: Freya.. Jody always used to have people talking about her and things like that, but now its Pearl's time to shine.

Just as long as we are together by Judy Blume: This story is about 3 best friends and their DISASTERS and AMAZING MOMENTS!! So, at first you meet Stephanie
(Steph) an she is moving house, at first she is sad about that but when she realises she is moving to the some road as her Bff Rachel, she sort of went mad. When Steph got there she sat by the pond near her house, and that is where she met Alison. Alison says her dog can talk, and to be honest, Steph DOES believe her. Apparently, Rachel, Steph and Alison all go to the same school, and Alison is in the same homeroom as Steph. Rachel and Steph meet up and talk all about, and Steph includes Alison`s dog talking and she wasn't supposed to say anything.
And on the story goes and I will not give the story away. I love this book too:D

One of my favourite books is Famous Five : Five Go To Smugglers Top where Julian , Anne , George , Dick and Timmy the dog go to a mysterious place called smugglers top and meet a pair of smugglers while staying at large old cottage ... they also find some secret tunnels and hiding places that lead to others . . . . .

the saddest part was when his father died saving his son and his friend gabz (how is not his girlfriend as he says)
nicest part was when Winnie adopted him(the social worker how heard about the tragic time he had trying to look after Alfie)
One of my favourite books is called the Magic forest and there are other related books to the Magic forest.

Its about this girl (Of course) called Harriet Manners and she knows alot of thing. e.g: *Cats have 32 muscles *Bluebirds cant see the colour blue *The average person laughs 15 times per day (Last example now!!!) *Peanuts are an ingredient of dynamite.
ReplyDeleteBut she doesn't know why nobody at her school seems to like her. So when she's offered the chance to reinvent herself, Harriet grabs it. Can she transform from Geek to Chic? I really like that book^_^
At the moment I am reading 'Between the lines' By Jodi Picoult. The main character would be Delilah and her best friend Jules. Again, in this story Delilah isn't popular. This is the blurb:
Delilah knows it's weird, but she can't stop reading her favourite fairy tale. Other girls her age are dating and cheerleading. But then, other girls are popular.
Delilah loves the comfort of the happy ending, and knowing there will be no surprises.
Until she get the biggest surprise of all, when Prince Oliver looks out from the page and speaks to her.
Now Delilah must decide: will she do as Oliver asks, and help him to break out of the book? Or is this her chance to escape into happily ever after?

I have finally finished reading Geek girl - Model Mistfit. Its the second part of Geek girl - Geek to Chic, and its really good! I just cant wait until June the 5th, when the next one comes out : Geek girl - Picture Perfect ;)

DeleteI think there is this tale about someone finding a secret passage behind their bookshelf, and when they go to explore, they find halloween candy eaten, banana peels, wooden dolls etc. Most people think its a real story, because someone took the picture with their phone. Of the opening bookshelf and stuff like that. I think that maybe they could have used some special effects?? So I like how they made that story into a kids book, and instead of the 'Secret Basement', or whatever it is called, they called it The 'Hidden House'. :)

This story is about two sisters that are different ages. One sister is a terrible tomboy, Marty, on the other side, is a girly girl Melissa. They both fight lots, because they’re so different. Their Mother and Father decide that they should share a room, so that they can both get along with each other.
My favourite part of the story was when Marty and Melissa finally got along with each-over, because it was lovely that they could communicate well .
My least favourite part was when Melissa was unconscious, however I felt scared that she might have died.
My favourite character was Marty, because she’s not afraid of a single thing!
My least favourite character is the two sisters mother because she’s very scary plus strict.
I would recommend this book as it gives you the highs and lows of how to get along within a family.
Sofia, You made a mistake, it is Each-other and not Each-over :D Anyway I like that book too and my favourite character is also Marty, because she is a tomboy like I am...
DeleteMy favourite book is any encyclopedias a specially animal's and one of them (that is my favourite book) is All About Animals which has scientific language and has so many information that is so interesting and a little bit funny . This book has pictures on every page of the book, and my favourite page is were the shark page is because when I saw the shark on the page it gave me goosebumps.

My favourite character is Lucy, seeing as she’s smart, intelligent and imaginative.
The character that I dislike is Edmund, because he was spiteful by not telling the truth about Narnia being real.
My favourite part of the story is when all the children jump into the wardrobe, because that’s when their adventures really begin.
The part I dislike is when Edmund tells the White Witch where Lucy, Susan and Peter are, because he be trades them all.

There are 7 Harry potter books and they are The pholiphisers stone, The chamber of secrets, The priziner of axaban, The goblet of fire, The order of phienex, The half bloded prince, The deadly hallows. The tings I said are the Harry potter books they are very good when you look at the cover by Inul Senuda.

ReplyDeleteI have now read the Harry Potter sires Philosophizers stone to Deadly Hallows. I really like the sires and from now on it is the best books I have read and I will remember that. The books author J.K Roling is a author I really like to read now and the sires Pholiphisers stone, chamber of secrets, prizernor of axaban, goblet of fire, order of Phinixe, half blooded prince, Deadly hallows are all briliant.
